Wine Barrel Patio Set

Charity is always a great way to test your limits! We wanted to make an amazing piece for our children's school. Lots of late nights with a little trial and error resulted in this Fab Wine Barrel table & stools.
We secured the bands to help hold the barrel shape over time as it changes with age. We then cut the openings on both sides & installed a drain in the bottom. This allows it to be used as an ice bin and hold drinks for your parties. Oak flooring strips mounted on plywood were used to create the circular table top. The center cut out has a plug in the bottom. This area is meant to be filled with ice & hold beverages during parties.
These rods helped to create a steady seat. They were able to be moved in and out to push the legs into place.
The seats were constructed only from materials taken from the barrel, secured with screws.
No 2 chairs were built exactly the same. We had to cut the angles specifically based on the pieces of wood we had available.
