Milk Glass Lamp Makeover

Just down the road from my school is the Humane Society Thrift Shop that benefits the local Humane Society. I love to pop in from time to time to see what treasures I can find. Last week I found a milk glass lamp for just $3. This lamp has been in the thrift shop for at least a year. After looking at it over and over, I decided to purchase it and give it a makeover.
Here is the lamp in its "before" state. You can tell that this is not the lamp's original configuration, someone jerry-rigged this design.
Here are the piece waiting for assembly. For safety's sake, I purchased a new cord and plug and rewired the lamp.

I am thrilled with the end result. For $33, I now have a functional lamp that will be used in the guest room that I call my mom's room. I know that my mom will love this!
Visit my blog to see this lamp post-makeover. She's a beauty.
