Birch Log Centerpiece Candle Holder

I'm starting to really love natural elements in my decor, and this project brings nature right into my home. I used birch yule logs to create a centerpiece for our holiday table, and it couldn't have been any easier!
I picked up birch yule logs after Christmas last season for $1 each at a local nursery. Of course, I couldn't help but buy all of them that were left, because there's now way you can find birch wood that cheap anywhere!
I used my table saw to rip the log in half. A 1-1/2 inch spade drill bit is the perfect size to fit small tealight candles.
I'm posting an upcycled holiday project every day in the month of October. I'd love for you to stop by and check out some of my other reused, repurposed, and handmade holiday decor!
