Mosaic Table for the Patio or Garden
by

(IC: homeowner)
This was a project in the making for years and I finally got around to finishing it now. I added plywood to a simple metal table I got for $10. I cut out the parts of plates with a tile cutter that I wanted to make the edges with. I also cut out the center of plates where the flowers were and the farming picures. I used bobbles and parts of other plate edges with texture to make little flowers. I did not break things like usually done in plate mosaics because I wanted to keep the designs. I did cut some flowers into pieces to replicate the mosaic feeling. I painted the grout around the edges pink. Got done sealing it today. I got this idea out of a Mosaic book, but added my own touches to the idea. Now I'm just waiting for summer! I have colorful painted chairs to go with this.
