Industrial Jewelry Holder

Aren't these interesting? I love the industrial look and these are INDUSTRIAL jewelry holders!!
Do you have any of these vintage oil cans? If you don't - they are at every estate sale (practically).
I had some wooden skewers, waxed string, and an indelible marker (to paint the skewers).
I used the waxed string to attach the skewers to the oil can spout (see picture). I simply crisscrossed the string over and around the spout. The great thing about the waxed string is that it sticks together and stays put. I make bracelets from this stuff, too.
On the ends of each skewer I put a metal bead and a crystal bead.
I hot glued a brooch onto each oil can. This was such a fun project. Hope you like it. Come visit my blog and find out more...

Love these wish I had vintage oil cans, says the girl who works in a vintage race car shop, think Ferrari and lambo, you would think we would have some but no.................
