Laundry Room Makeover

Our laundry room has been a catch-all for tools and household cleaning items, and not so much for housing laundry related items. We were fed up with the clutter and the useless layout we were dealing with so we decided to give it a makeover. (I'm listing this as a six week project only because I participated in Calling it Home's Six Week Challenge. Otherwise I bet you could get this done in about two weeks at the most.)
Here's what it looked like before.
I searched the net for ideas that I thought would work for our small space, and came to the conclusion that cabinets and cubbies would give us the space to store all those extra items and keep them out of the way. A countertop would also be necessary, so I searched for options to complete that project as well.
Here is the mood board I made.
