Shreveport/Louisiana Map Overhauled Telephone Table

I decided to give this vintage slender (telephone?) table a map treatment. I had a large, classroom size, map of Louisiana that I thought would work perfectly. I used the northwest portion for the top that included the Shreveport to Ruston areas and down to Mansfield and Coushatta. I also used some of my large gauge stick to edge the top of the table so you wouldn't have to worry about something sliding off.
Some of my new, old stock of chrome metal edging got some use again, just like the last one. It makes it really pop! On the drawer face, I used the Louisiana pelican artwork from the map. Worked out great and really complimented the silver paint.
An old glass drawer pull handle brought it all together as the final touch. Some satin finish layers sealed it all up.
