EASY Wood Shim Heart
by

Make an easy "heart" from wood shims and a scrap of wood.
10 wood shims from the hardware store and a scrap piece of wood (12"x16"), some wood glue and paint is all you need to make this easy heart for Valentine's Day.
Leave two shims the length they are. Cut 4 shims about 1/2" shorter. Cut the other 4 shims 1" shorter. You can cut the thin part of the shim with scissors or a saw. Paint as desired. Find the middle of your scrap board and lay out the heart.
Glue down with wood glue.
When the glue is dry, I finished this with a coat of Minwax polyacrylic.
Simple and easy!
