How to make rusty tin can to use as planters for succulents
I have been wanting to learn how to make some rusty tin cans to craft with so I searched the web till I found a way to make my own rusty cans. I finally found a recipe that works. Depending on how rusty you want your can, is how many times you will have to repeat the process.
You will need some tin cans, salt, and Hydrogen Peroxide to make your own rusty tin cans.
The cans above are going through the second process. The recipe that I found said that it works better if you let it sit outside in direct sunlight, but I haven’t tried it that way yet.
To get my tin cans this rusty I had to go through the process about 5-6 times.
Enjoyed the project?

Naomie Moore aka baileyanddaisey, Castaic CA on Feb 02, 2017Absolutely. Make sure you spray the bottom too so that you do not end up with rusty rings on your surface where you place them.
