I'm so excited to be a part of Hometalk's blog hop! I made an easy Easter centerpiece for the occasion.
I love decorating for Easter with bunnies and eggs as much as the next person, but I thought it would be nice to make a religious centerpiece this spring to remember the reason we celebrate Easter in the first place.
First, my kids helped me collect small twigs from the yard. (Luckily, the snow had melted!)
I chose the straightest ones and laid them out to make three crosses, with one of them larger than the other two.
Next, I tied the twigs together with yarn to make crosses.
I cut the bottom of each cross at an angle so they'd easily pierce the floral foam I was using.
Luckily, I already had a box of faux grass that was the perfect backdrop for my three crosses. I simply inserted the crosses into the floral foam and voila!
I realize not everyone has a box of grass laying around. For more ideas on how to display twig crosses for Easter, check out Home Made Modern! Also, you won't want to miss all of the amazing spring projects linked up as part of the blog hop! Happy Easter!
