Easy Monogram Yard Plaque!
by

(IC: homeowner)
You can get these plaques from any craft stores for about $6.00 & the letter for about $ 2.00. They come unpainted or stained.
First, I took vinegar & steel wool solution to age the wood. Just take apple cider vinegar & a piece of steel wool , put in a jar & let set for a week or two, the longer it sets the deeper & richer the color.
This is after brushing on the solution & letting dry.
Then just take your letter & paint what ever color you desire. For these two I painted with chalk paint , I used a dark paint for the base color & then a lite coat of cream color then wth a paper towel wiped off to just add a little glaze of cream.
I then just glued them on with LOCTITE GO2 gel glue. I also glued some wood embellishments, also from craft store to the plaque, it just jazzed it up a little.
Two coats of poly so it will be weather proof. Add some eye hooks, a chain & you're ready to hang!
