Bday Present Desk Makeover
by

(IC: homeowner)
My grandsons birthday was coming up and I wanted to give him something useful that it would last him for years. I didn't want to buy something commercial that was made of particle board. I went on the search and I found a solid maple desk.
I wanted the desk to look good but also fun so he would want to spend time there. I started by sanding the piece down. I painted chalkboard paint on the top and this amazing blue from Benjamin Moore mixed with calcium carbonate ( line marker)
I used a wall paper to cover the drawers, sides and chair seat! My grandson loves it and now he wants to do his homework!

Valerie Fanning on Mar 29, 2016My son would have seriously loved this when he was younger. I don't think I would have been able to say he "wanted" to do his homework though lol. Awesome job!
