We had so much fun making this little desert fairy garden, I wanted to share it with you.
The main house is made from a wooden tissue box which we clad in bark strips for a rustic look.
We added a porch and a swing to give the fairies a place to relax and watch those glorious desert sunsets.
We even added solar power. Our little desert fairy is determined to live off the grid :-) Hubby dismantled a solar garden light for me and we built the solar panel into the roof. I love watching the light go on every night. I'm a mother hen when it comes to the fairies, I need to know they're home safe.
Unfortunately the house is a little bit small for an en suite bathroom so when nature calls our desert fairy has to use an outhouse.
We planted succulents and cacti in a half a wine barrel and added some coarse sand and the fairy garden was ready for the desert fairy to move in.
For more pics and "how to" come visit us on the blog. The fairies would love to meet you
