An Old Pot Lid and Vintage Wood Make Cute Homemade Signs!

The pot lid has a bit of rust so to repurpose it I made it along with some very old wood into some seaside signs to go with my seaside kitchen redo.I didn't have any sanding or painting to do and I did it with no stencils, love the look of signs that are done freehand.

So don't throw away old pot lids and for heaven sake save your old wood. Signs don't have to be perfect just have fun with it and make it your own!
This enamel lid say, "Seafood boil" Corn, stonecrabs, clams & mussels". This is a popular dinner here near the Everglades. Stonecrabs are very delicious they even have festivals around to celebrate the crab season. This enamel lid is huge so that is probably what was cooked in the actual pot. I attached a shell cracker and a little bow.
Now my children want to know where the food is.......
