Counter Stools

My husband brought home two stools like this. They were free and my intent was to just sell them but nobody wanted them... at least not looking like this.
I took the seats off and gave them a couple coats of Waverly's Chalk Paint in Agave; purchased at Walmart for $6, It was left over from another project I had done. Then got sprayed with Rustoleum Crystal Clear Enamel to protect the finish.
A quick trip to Joann Fabrics with a coupon and a vague idea of what I was looking for resulted in the happy fabric, less than a yard and about $5.
I cut the fabric into two pieces and stapled them to the seat cushions right over the existing fabric. After I was done stapling I trimmed the excess off and reattached the seats to the chairs.
Maybe now they will sell? What do you think?
Enjoyed the project?
