When I work my "magic" on old worn out furniture I am often reminded of the phoenix rising from the ashes! We found this beauty at a back yard sale for a song and it was a little long in the tooth. After doing some minor repair (fixing drawer runners and replacing drawer hardware, we primed and painted it a beautiful French grey. A little distressing and a clear coat of wax finished it up. I collect vintage wallpaper and always cut a piece to go inside of all the drawers - I think that makes it so nice when you open the drawers and its just as pretty inside as it is out. (A Tip: Always paint and finish the backs and undersides of your painted pieces - as well as inside! Just do it....I have been doing this for many, many years and I am always glad that I finish the job event though it might take a little extra time, its worth it!
