This vintage school desk was given a whole new modernized look by Heidi from Lily Field Furniture with Full Bloom and Silver Bullet metallic cream!
I have had this vintage school desk sitting in my garage for years. It was in rough shape and needed some serious TLC. My daughter was home sick from school for a week and we were going stir crazy and needed a project to work on together!

We decided to tackle the desk together and she wanted to use silver for the legs and base. We used Country Chic Paint Metallic Cream in Silver Bullet.
AFTER:
In order to save time we first sanded down the base and painted with a base coat in Pebble Beach Chalk Paint. This gave the base a similar color and made for less coats of the silver metallic. Once the Pebble Beach was completely dry we went over with 2 coats of the silver cream. It's thick and a little goes a long way!

For the wooden parts she chose to use Full Bloom, a fun coral that paired perfectly with the silver. After everything was dry I went over the entire desk with Top Coat for added protection.
I love the way the silver turned out on this desk! Don't be afraid to use metallic creams for more than just accent work- they make such a statement when used in bigger areas!

That desk is from around the 1930's and sold by Sears! Love how you and your daughter restored it. The color choices are amazing. Your daughter has a good eye. Has that Retro look. Great job!
