You know all those empty tin cans that you've been saving in your garage just waiting for a cool project to use them? Now it's finally the time to put them to good use . Make your own Shabby French recycled tin cans!
With summer just around the corner, I'm sure you'll find plenty of ways to use them in your home, your garden, patio, you name it.
Fill them with fresh seasonal flower and add that extra 'chicness' to your rooms, use them to hold utensil in your kitchen ... or brushes in your craft room.
There are so many possibilities to integrate these beauties into your farmhouse, cottage , Shabby Chic or vintage style home decor.

Remove the labels from the cans - you can use cans that have the same size or you can use different sized ones
To create a Shabby Chic chippy effect, you'll have to use two contrasting colors. I used acrylic paint but you can also use milk paint or chalk paint.
... and white my second one.
I also used a 'special ingredient' between the two contrasting colors, that makes all the difference in creating an amazing Shabby CHic effect.
After distressing the tin cans I used some French labels to decorate them. The labels look like some faux enamel French tags and I initially made them for another project.
But I loved how they looked and decided to use them here :)
The only problem I have now with the Shabby French recycled tin cans is not being able to decide which one I love the most! :)
Hope you like my project and decide to give it a try ... right now (I'm sure you already have all the supplies you need)! :)
Enjoyed the project?

Hi Diana. I absolutely feel in love with the
Shabby French recycled tin cans .Being in isolation because of the Coronavirus like so many others. I'm looking for things to do with the limited supplies I have. We all have tin cans so this is perfect! I'm having a problem trying to download the free printable though. Any help you could give me would be so appreciated. Thank you so much. Love everything you make!💖 Diane
