Linda @ Mixed Kreations on Jul 06, 2013Your veggies look wonderful. I'm planning on making some kind of raised beds or getting huge pots for my tomato plants next year. I have such a small area for them that they kind of grow together then it's hard to get to the tomatoes to pick. Your little watermelon is so pretty, you don't have a problem with the watermelon vine trying to grow out of the planter?

Melanie Ellsworth at Raised Urban Gardens on Jul 06, 2013Yes the watermelon vines grow out of the boxes and I have some melons on the ground and I picked a few up and put them back in the boxes. Here's a recent post with some pictures. http://www.raisedurbangardens.com/2013/07/my-summer-garden/ My father-in-law has big melons in his beds - mine are the smaller variety. Good luck to you!Melanie
