Since its summer time, my ideas for this challenge was to create something for my garden or porches.
After thinking it over for several weeks I finally knew what I wanted to create.
A decorative Globe.

A yard globe, also known as a garden globe, gazing ball, lawn ball, garden ball, gazing globe, mirror ball, chrome ball, or orb, is most time colorful, glitzy and a sphere.

I purchased this 6″ Styrofoam ball and the beads.
To attach the beads, use a hot glue gun.

Apply a short glue line and add a few beads.

The glue will dry before you get the beads added if you apply to much hot glue at once.

I asked my grandson Ben to help. It was amazing how the beads really added weight to the globe which I liked.

This will help it stay where you want in the garden or on your porch or patio.
Continue adding beads on the ball.

There were more of the filler beads, silver, and clear so those are added more often than the bigger colored beads.

The globe is starting to shape up. I think adding the beads took about 2 – 3 hours total.

All done……..here is the finished globe. There are many ways the globe could be displayed. I added mine to a pot but a stand would really be pretty too.
What a nice addition to my front porch. I think I will make another one to put on my back screened porch, if I can get Ben to help. Hint Hint! I like that the globe adds color and a festive feel to the area.

If ur going 2 put it n a planter, Y not cut it n 1/2 since the lower 1/2 of beads won't b seen anyway? Put some rocks n the planter 4 weight then glue ur beaded ball on top.

If thats the kind of globe u wanted! I like the clear or any clear color light globes turn upside down on plate stand or candle stand along w/ solar lights that way their soak up the sun 2 activate.

Yes I will, but I use Clear Bath+Kitchen (MONO-ULTRA) Caulking it takes longer but it's water proof , I use this on all my glass and metal yard art.

Hot glue generally melts Styrofoam. I have also had it disintegrate in the rain so it needs to be the hard Styrofoam.
