With some time, Americana yarn, buttons and poster board, you can make this adaptation of a fabric yo-yo flag!!
With the J hook, chain 2 and make 11 double crochets in 1st chain. Join with a slip stitch and break off, working in the tails. I tied them together in the back, but you don't have to as long as they are hidden beneath when glued.
For this pattern, you will need 32 burgundy, 26 tan, and 12 navy.
Again, you can tie them in the back or leave them alone.
The final results will look nice when the poster board is trimmed around each border circle like I did. But, you can carefully trim it to border the flag. Or, you can start on the bottom left corner and trim it close to the edges so it doesn't show.
