Organized Clutter's 2016 Junk Garden Tour

The addition of junk to my flower gardens added drama, whimsy, vertical interest and pure fun! I hope you enjoy my annual virtual junk garden tour.
Here the funnel planter with lantana , stenciled shovel head and stepladder with container plants adds vertical interest to my front yard border.
In early spring, when the snow has all melted and some of my garden junk starts to appear in my flower beds, the junk garden looks more like a junk yard.
But as the annuals and perennials fill in and bloom, the combination of beautiful flowers and and rusty weathered junk is perfect.
Add colorful annuals planted in galvanized containers or kitchen kettles to keep blooming color in the border all summer long.
Here I made a window box out of a window frame. Black eyed Susan vines form topiaries on my potting bench.
A fun coffee sign and coffee pot planters on stakes were 2016 junk garden projects.
A thrift shop wooden gun rack holds vintage garden tools. You never know what you will find at the thrift shop that will work in the junk garden.
A child's swing hold a small bucket of annuals from the deck railing.
Many more garden ideas and beautiful flowers on my full blog tour!

Awesome! Love the gun rack for tools. I'm going to repurpose a gentleman's va let for garden tools.
