Are you ready for some early fall inspiration? I am! I can't wait to start putting out my fall decor. I recently made this fall wreath, and you won't believe what it's made of!
I used a pool noodle to make the form of this wreath. The most important thing to do before cutting it into the pieces is to draw lines down the middle of the noodle to keep it straight. If you cut the noodle and it's not straight, the angles won't line up and you won't have a perfect square!
I cut a pool noodle with a hack saw and miter box at 45-degree angles into 4 pieces, and then I covered the pool noodle in faux wood contact paper. I glued the pieces together to form a square and allowed them to dry.
This faux wood contact paper is amazing! (affiliate link)You can find a similar contact paper here. I've used contact paper on other projects before, but this contact paper is different. It is very heavy, and it has a realistic texture. I can already imagine lots of other uses for it.
I hot glued the berries, flower, and greenery onto the corner of the wreath. The faux boxwood already had some gold on the tips of the leaves, so I decided to use a little gold metallic wax on the berries to tie it all together. Check out my blog link listed below for the full tutorial on how I put everything together and where I got all of my supplies! And, if you're looking for more fall inspiration, check out how I made these Wishbone Napkin Rings!
