So I was visiting a couple of my favorite thrift stores the other day and looking for some things for my store and always on the lookout for things for my home too. How about you? Do you like thrift shopping? or Yard Saling? Or a great bargain??
I spotted this wreath hanging up a little high and took a 2nd look and thought “hmm that has potential. I grabbed it and continued on my search and there in another section were these three pretty flowers. I could see the vision….lol
The cool part is the wreath was $2.95 and the flowers were $.95. The price was right.
So I fluffed the flowers and leaves and did you notice there are even some pretty roses too. Then I went ahead and added the three rusty brownish flowers into it too.
Then I got out my bag of burlap and cut a strip of it to make a bow. I thought about a trip to Michaels for the good kind with wire that comes on the bolt, but I knew I had some so I grabbed the scissors and cut.
Then I folded and formed my bow and tied it with some wire. Then I tied it onto my wreath.
Now here’s the important part. I then pull each loop, one down, and one up, one down and one up. Does that make sense? So I am fluffing my bow by pulling the loops back and forth. Last step, I went out and hung it on my door.
So that was pretty easy to make and it was under $4.00. Yay, I love Fall decorating….lol.

Denise M on Aug 26, 2014Love what you did with thrift store stuff. I am always scrounging at yard sales, goodwill, etc. for such finds. The hard work is usually done for you causing me to have some creative juices flowing. You have the knack and your wreath is beautiful and on a budget!
