Repurposing old items is a great way to make something useful again. This project takes an old window and turns it in to a beautiful chalkboard.
This is what the window will look like when completed.
FYI:The longest part of this project is the dry time. Everything else goes pretty quickly.
Tape the window and paint away. I used 2 coats of blue and it looked so pretty when done.
After the frame was fully dried I tape the frame and went to work on the chalkboard. First lightly sand the glass (this gives grip for the paint to adhere to) then prime the glass. I used Kilz primer.
Then paint on the chalkboard paint according to the directions.
Once the chalkboard paint was dry I added some white stencils to the corners and some flowers for interest and fun detail. Hang it on your wall and you are good to go!
