We made the recipe for these ornaments on a previous post, it's SO simple and only requires three ingredients- gotta love that!
Stir your dough
While your dough cools make sure it stays moist using a damp paper towel to keep from drying out...
Grab a rolling pin (or anything cylinder in our case) and begin to roll out the dough. We did find that it would stick a little so we suggest grabbing some parchment paper to line your surface, then adding another sheet on top of the dough between the rolling pin and the dough. So recap- counter, parchment paper, dough, parchment paper and then roll away!! If you are still sticking sprinkle some corn starch to help!
Once you have a nice even spread it is time to create your festive shapes!
Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and cut out all your fun shapes.
Use a straw to punch holes at the top of each ornament.
Bake your ornaments at 220 degrees F for 1 hour. Be sure to check on them at 40 minutes to avoid browning and flip them with a spatula as needed. Once done baking let them cool for 10 minutes and you are set to string them.
Now it is time to play with flavor combos! Essential oils come in all sorts of flavors and blends. Not only do they smell amazing but they all have natural healing benefits as well (headaches, stress relief, allergies, etc). Here are a few of our favorite Christmas scents that are sure to bring a smile to your tree.
You can also become a mad scientist and have fun making your own blends, here are a few to inspire. I would recommend doing a few drops on each ornament with each flavor to make for a great smelling combo.
Simply add a few drops to your ornament and you are good to hang!! As you see the scent fade, add a few drops and you are sure to keep the Christmas cheer in the room!!
You can make a super cute package with some essential oil flavors and your gift is complete. You can get essential oils at most beauty stores and even places like TJ Max and some grocery stores.
Cheers to a fabulous smelling tree and an easy diy project and gift!

I love this, can you add food coloring to them color. I also thought about outlining the sides with glitter glue to give it a sparkle.
