DIY Dresser Vanity for a Small Bath!

The 80's vanity in our small hall bath was always an eye sore but with other more important projects looming, I made due. Last summer, a flood forced us to renovate the space on strict time and budget constraints. This bath is mainly used by my boys, so I had to have something sturdy. I shopped around and was not impressed with anything I could find locally. I just could NOT make myself pay $400 + for a pressed wood vanity with no character! So, I decided to convert this antique dresser into a bathroom vanity. The project was quite simple with the off centered plumbing being the most challenging part! See all the details and more about the repurposed gate I used as a backsplash on the blog!

Have a question about this project?
I’m thinking about doing this type of project with a vessel sink. Did you waterproof the surface of the vanity and how did you do it, and what did you use?
Where did you find the mirror? It's gorgeous!!!
