Watch what happens with spray paint and tin cans!!

Useful on so many levels. I've had mine for over 2 years and can' t live without one. I absolutely love silverware caddies. Three things I like about this silverware caddy. #1 It’s recycled materials (yippee) #2 It’s a fun family project #3 Last but not least it’s the perfect gift IDEA. OH and the fact that you handmade it means that much more. So get your DIY rhythm going and lets do this… icon

I decided to go with copper spray paint for the inside of my cans.

I stained my wood. Once dry I clear coated and attached the leather handle making sure to use washers with the screws.

I spray painted the outside of my cans in a light gray and glued on my labels that I made from real leather. Then I attached the cans to the wood with small screws. icon You can see how I did this here.

What do you guys think?

What colors would you make yours?

How did you get the screws inside the cans, I don't have a screwdriver that short? I love this idea!
