Other materials you will need
  • Ladybug Red 1322 | Benjamin Moore
  • Sticky Note spray adhesive

Erika, our in-house craft guru, took on the task of completing our office Christmas tree. Erika found a plain 48 inch burlap tree skirt on Amazon that was perfect for project.
The Gratitude Mandala Stencil was designed to help us to remember what we have and what is important in our lives. The intricate pattern was perfect for a round tree skirt.
The first thing Erika did was iron the tree skirt. Then she placed it on top of kraft paper. You could also use a plastic table cloth underneath to catch any paint bleed.

Erika applied spray adhesive to the back of the stencil. We like to use Sticky Note spray adhesive which can be purchased on Amazon. Then she placed the stencil on the top of the tree skirt.
Erika chose to paint the Mandala pattern in Ladybug Red 1322 by Benjamin Moore using a 4 inch dense foam roller. She made sure she rolled off any excess paint on a piece of paper towel.  Too much paint will cause the design to bleed. Erika painted the entire stencil which is half of the Mandala design and then lifted to reveal.
She lined up the Mandala on the other side of the tree skirt to complete the entire pattern.
Here you can see how easy it is to align the stencil using the previously painted side of the Mandala.
She painted the rest of the pattern and peeled back the stencil to reveal the completed design.
Look how pretty this turned!
Erika placed it under the decorated Christmas tree in our office.
A beautiful stenciled tree skirt is the perfect finishing touch to any decorated Christmas tree.
