The Making of My Christmas Tree

This year it was going to be difficult to get to my Christmas tree and ornaments. They are stored in our attic, both my husband and I were not up to the lifting and getting up those tiny steps with the boxes. This was my solution. Now, you are probably asking "why does she have so many supplies?"
1st idea of tree
I was going to draw a tree and use green branches and decorate the tree. Starting the project, I realized, I can't draw. I had to think of something else. I found a picture frame with glass in it. You could see the rough drawing and the reason I changed my plan.
I wrapped the cardboard, inside the frame, with fleece. I found at the dollar store, they had white ones ,with a little bit of silver running through it.
I started at the top of the frame. I had an ornament that looked like a star, so of course it went on top. I added my first few ornaments and my lights, secured it with hot glue.
I worked my way down securing the lights and ornaments. When I reached the bottom of the tree, I made sure my battery case went to the back of the frame, i secured that with packaging tape and worked in the lights to the end.
I cut a small piece of brown felt, for the trunk, but, it looked so empty. I decided it needed gifts under the tree. I got packing peanuts and taped them together and wrapped them up, like a gift and added a bow.
I placed the wrapped gifts under the tree using my hot glue gun.
It was not a hard project to do, it was fun. I plan to hang this in my living room with other Christmas crafts i have done. Happy Holidays to All!
