Repurposing things into Christmas ornaments is one of my favorite things to do, and when I saw this $1 set of baking cones at the thrift store I thought... why not?
These cones are a fun shape and I immediately thought of angels.
I enjoy making angels out of unusual things like these Repurposed Salt & Pepper Angels.
For these cone angels I found some earrings in my stash to use for wings.
I removed the ear wires with pliers.
Using my glue gun I glued the earring onto the back of the, a vintage faux pearl dangle earring as the head and dress, and part of a broken rhinestone bracelet along the bottom.
I glued on some mini faux pearl beading for hanging, and finished it off with a ribbon rose at the neck and a vintage washer as the halo.
Because I used bits of bobs of odds and ends that I already had on hand this was a great and inexpensive stash buster project. The time and cost estimate is for this one angel.
I also made two more cone angels that look completely different. To check them out, and the full tutorial too, visit my blog post link below. If you loce angels like I do you might also enjoy these quick and easy chandelier crystal angel ornaments.
