JOY Wreath

"JOY" is a word typically saved for the holiday season. I usually only hear the word used in relation to Christmas and while I think it's a word we should carry with us year round, I think it's especially important to seek joy during the this time of year. Not only for yourself while you are looking for the good in every situation, but you should also try to bring joy to others. The holidays are a hard time for a lot of people, and a quote I read recently in the book "Wonder" (which is now also a movie!) said this: “Be kinder than is necessary. Because it's not enough to be kind. One should be kinder than needed.” I think if we were all a little kinder than necessary, we might help others find a bit more joy and you may be surprised to find you feel that same joy yourself.

This JOY wreath is simple to make, and will bring joy to you each time you see it and hopefully spread a little joy in your neighborhood as well!

For this project you will need the following materials: a small round faux pine wreath, J and Y wooden letters, and paint/embellishments to decorate as desired.
Your first step is to paint the letters if needed. I painted mine a bright red since the wreath I found was white.
Attaching the letters depends on what type of wreath you have. With the faux pine wreath I was able to attach by bending the wires on the wreath and wrapping around the letters.

You can also drill holes in the bottom of the J and the top of the Y then use twine to attach to the wreath.
