Looking at all my supplies left from Christmas decorating, (that of course was after I finally organized my supplies) I had a little of ribbon, a lot ornaments, some plastic pine cones and one big plastic gold poinsettia flower with a large leaf combination on it. Last of all a small green wreath. Gathered everything together to get started.
I had a friend, whose mom was in a skilled nursing facility. My friend, had a function to attend and asked if I would sit with her overnight. So, I grabbed my bag of Christmas leftovers. I knew when I would get there she would already be asleep. So, I knew I would need something to keep busy. Thats, the way the"leftover wreath"started.
I laid the wreath on the table and started to create a pattern or something that looked like a pattern. I got my trusty glue gun out, and started gluing ornaments all around the wreath.

I
I got my wired ribbon and made a bow. I got the poinsettia and broke the flower away from the stem with leaves on it. I glued the flower part to the center of the bow. Then I took the stem of leaves and glued it to the side of the bow. I wasn't making it for anyone, or at least I didn't think I was. I just needed to have something to keep me busy. I stayed with my friends mom overnight. When she woke up, she saw the wreath and asked if I could hang it on her door. I was so glad I was able to do this for her. She really appreciated the gift. Definitely, showed me what Christmas was all about.
