Last year I tried my hand at wood burning and was hooked! It is very relaxing and I kind of love the smell-it is like sitting by a fire. It takes a little time but once you get used to it you will love it!

Here is one of my favorites:
Stamp the image in the center of the ornament. Make sure the wood burning tool has been heating for about 15 minutes. It is best to use a light pressure to outline the image. If you press too hard or in the same place for too long, it will burn unevenly. Again, it just takes a little practice before you feel comfortable with it. Use hot glue to attach pine cones to the top. This is optional. It looks just as pretty with those off, but I thought it gave it more of a rustic feel.
