Hand Painted Bunnies for Easter
by

I hand painted cloth bunnies with acrylic paints to add more character. Painting the fabric gives it an almost soft leather feel, especially if you give it a light sanding with brown paper or fine grit sandpaper.
There's a hint of colour with the blushing cheeks and soft pink ears, but the rest of the painting has been kept neutral to fit in with my white on white shabby décor.
The original bunny pattern is a Tilda pattern from the Tilda Springtime book... with a shabby twist. Hmm... I can never follow a pattern exactly. I like to twist and tweak to make a piece my own.
The cuteness is in the fine details... eyes, nose and a soft downy snout.
