Have a small space and need to hang your coffee cups on the wall? This simple project is for you! This project can be done in a few hours and looks great!
I had an old fence board, but you could get any board from a big box store that you liked. This board is about 5 1/2” wide and 22 “ long. I sanded it down and added a gray stain from Ikea to the front.
I always try to add my hangers on the back before I complete the front. The reason I do this is because if you have objects that stick out on the front it makes it harder to lay down and measure and have a flat surface to apply the hangers.
On the front after the stain dried, I added these Cricut cartridge designs. The are both from the Graphically Speaking cartridges. I used them as a stencil and used a satin black paint to fill them in. Once the cup and Mmmm . . . was dry, I thought it needed a little something, so I outlined it with a white chalk marker. You could add image or wording you wanted, I just am very fond of these.
Then I eyeballed where I wanted the hooks and attached them. This is why you want to add the hanger on the back first. It makes it so much easier!
Hang it up, add your cups. You have saved space in your cupboard and you can enjoy your creativity!
