Is the closet one that has doors and is shut off from the room? If so I painted my closet bright white to give me more light and the bedroom is painted blue.
You could go either way, but the aqua on the closet walls could change the way the color on your clothes look that are hanging in their. You could end up with some funky combinations when you get them out of the closet.
It doesn't matter unless your doors are left open... Even then the white could be a accent feature.
white will stick out against the aqua, maybe a soft gray
i think white will work well.
White is best, it doesn't clash with any color. Mine are all white and it works really well for me.
There is no right or wrong to this question, but I have chosen to paint my two closets the same color as the room. They "belong" to the room so IMHO they should be the same.
It’s whatever is pleasing to you
Interesting concept! If you like the color go for it! My closets have no interior lighting so I painted them a bright white. Color choices are really personal, if you have good lighting it shouldn't matter. I do not care if the interior of my closet clashes with my clothes, I just want a neat organized closet. Others may feel differently. If you take a look at professionally designed closets, rule of thumb, they are light, neutral colors. Me, I think the aqua would look smashingly smart, maybe tone it down one shade by adding white to your original color.
It's your choice. If the closet doors close, it can be any color you want.
They could be either colour. White with Aqua trim or Knobs? or Aqua with white trims oor knobs?
If you like them white leave them. If you fancy a change paint them! Is you just want to add a bit of colour - add it to any trims! Matching or Clashing with clothes should not be an issue as When closed you won't see the clothes...
Hi Susan, hope this helps you. The answer is no. You can have colors that match bedding or are neutral but not the same color as the walls. My walls are grey and closets doors are white.
All my closets are white. I have repainted them in eggshell to cut glare.
Go with bright white for more light when selecting clothes, Dee makes a good point on the patina.
Hi Susan: The closet doesn't necessarily have to match, it can contrast. You can even paint it or cover it with wallpaper Applying Wallpaper to Wood - Everything You Need to Know (craftknights.com) to enhance the colour of your paint.
