Ladybug Crib Canopy

When my granddaughter was born the theme in her bedroom was lady bugs. I made her a crib canopy in pink and white and sewed little lady bugs on the blossom's leaves
I used a large embroidery hoop to form the flower. I cut out petal shapes out of pink satin that had little specks of glitter in it.
I covered the chain to hold it with green satin and made leaves to cover the stitching where I sewed the petals together.
I sewed ladybug buttons on the leaves
I looked in the hardware department for hardware to attach the blossom to the chain but I couldn't tell you what those parts were called. I got lucky....
Pretty white lace, white tulle and pink satin ribbons completed the canopy
Enjoyed the project?
