With all this buzz around pink bathroom concept and pastel colors for bathroom tile and fixtures are we going back into the fifties and sixties? You can if you want to. But you don’t have to use old retro materials if you want a pink bathroom or pastels. Now the pastels trend is bluntly obvious within any decorating style – industrial, modern farmhouse, bohemian, modern minimal, wabi-sabi, traditional, just to name a few.
Here I am showing you just a few examples of my favorite design picks. They inspire me, so hopefully, you won’t be indifferent as well. I also enclose a shopping resource guide which I created especially for you. I included my suggestions for the bathroom fixtures that will sustain the test of time in terms of color if you are concerned with being too trendy.
So, let’s start with inspiration images.
Design: Harry Nuriev of Crosby Studios
To me, this unapologetically pink bathroom is a futuristic take on feminine and masculine, streamline geometric forms and rounded shapes, sharp contrasts and clean lines. It is as much modern as it is classic. Black, slim hardware reminds me of luxurious and sexy lingerie. It is naughty and glamorous. Well, before I start getting wild with my fantasies, let’s continue.
Design: Dugan Morris Architects
You don’t have to spend a lot of money to have a restful and fresh looking bathroom. This simple retro style all pink bathroom is intentionally minimal. The wall tile is light blush color is as delicious as a strawberry sorbet. It is not your ten-year-old daughter’s bathroom. There are no overly cute details and themes. It is soft and fresh without being childish. The immaculate installation of the tiles makes it look even more adult.

Who didn’t dream of taking a shower in the garden in mid-July? There is no limit to a creative process and many artists today use tile as an outlet. You can commission an artist to have a section of your bathroom handpainted. Keep the rest of the bathroom plain and simple, and just focus on one feature wall for the accent.

Using pastel blue ogee drop tile, white fixtures, and brass accents and hardware, Emily Henderson creates a modern bathroom with a traditional vibe. It is imaginary, glamorous but yet quite simple at the same time. Brenna Giessen wall art adds a splash of colors.
High House Project: Dan Gayfer Design
It never fails to use a contrast color for the tile grout to create a statement. Compliment simple wabi-sabi style vanity with a blush color tile to soften the look. Starting your day in this minimalist modern bathroom creates clarity. And you come back home late at night it can easily put you in a meditative state.
Design: Katie Ridder
One of my favorite designers, Katie Ridder is a master of color and detail. here is just a subtle idea borrowed from her design above. If you like a classic country look, consider using an old table for the vanity. All you have to do is open it on the top and use it for the sink. I like how the wall paint color picks from the light blue of the floor tile. Subway wall tile is light cream color and it works beautifully with the grays and blues of the floor.

Pastels are one of the color hues that are on the way out. Gone are bright pastel pinks and blues of the 50's, 60's, and 70's. Enter the pastels of the 21st century. As in the photos you provided. They more muted and dusty. And they blend well into any style. They are elegant, luxurious, and tasteful.
