Sunny and Bright Living Room

My living room went from a space that served mostly as a passage from the front door to the rest of the home, to a space we love! Once filled with toys boxes and a piano, the space now has a beautiful sofa with DIY accent pillows, a cocktail ottoman and a fun accent chair. The toy boxes are now gone, but the piano is still there, so we can enjoy our music!
Sofa with DIY throw pillows. Plus, a Mohawk Home chevron rug, and a pretty yellow and white accent chair and a cocktail ottoman, both from Target. I just love how easy it is to coordinate everything with my new Mohawk Home rug!
Throw pillows made from inexpensive cloth napkins (bought on clearance) from Target.
Check out my blog for a list of where I got all the pieces for my home's new living room!
I created the yellow and white and the green and white print pillows from Target placemats -- just minutes before my new sofa arrived! Making the pillows was super easy -- I just opened up one seam on each pillow about two inches, stuffed each "pillow" and stitched them back up! Come visit the blog to see my new living room! I hope to update it more soon with DIY curtains, and perhaps a sofa console table/desk.

Robin Smith on May 12, 2014That's the sofa I've been looking for. May I ask where you bought it from? Your pillows sure do brighten the sofa up.
