Want to use some bottles in a project? First things first, remove the label from the bottle. It can be a pain but this simple trick will make life much easier.
Fill the bottle with hot water.
Fill the bottom of the sink with hot water. Add 1 cup of vinegar and 1 tablespoon of dish soap for each gallon of water (doesn't need to be exact). Drop the bottle into the water and make sure it submerges.
After 20 minutes, remove the bottle and use a metal putty knife to start scraping the label off.
Use a scrub brush to remove any remaining adhesive.

Cathy Mathis on Jul 20, 2016I worked in a factory and when the labels were on wrong we took a cloth soaked in alcohol and laid it on for a few hours, most times the label peeled right off.
