I wanted to make curved seat bar stool but I knew I didn’t have the tools required to do so. Or so I thought. Then I decided that I could just cut the curved seat out of each board before I assembled it.

Cut seat out of each board using supplied template. Assemble seat boards with good glue, clamp and let dry. Then trim sides to a final width of 17". Heavy sanding with then be required to smooth seat top. Finally, ease or roundover all edges with router or sander.
Drill pocket holes and assemble the front and back using wood glue and 2-1/2" pocket screws.
Drill pocket holes and assemble using wood glue and 2-1/2" pocket screws. Then pre-drill and assemble base with wood glue and 2-1/2" wood screws.
Secure base to seat using 2-1/2" wood screws.
