Milkcan
Refreshed Milkcan...
So this is what I started with....my friend picked this up for me (along with two wooden ladders). It had at least 3 layers of paint on it. Oh my....
I used Citristrip-Paint and Varnish Stripping Gel to remove the paint...this photo was taken after a the first attempt. I used a wire brush and putty knife to remove it.
This is it. I love this! It smells nice and works instantly!
It took me a few days of elbow grease to get it like this. It says Grandview Dairy, Brooklyn NY. Pretty cool...never knew it existed.
After cleaning it well, I used KILZ Complete, also purchased at Home depot for less than $6.
I decided to paint it white. I used Rust-Oleum White spray paint purchased at Home Depot. I did 3 layers of it.
I wanted to do a mongram of our last name. I printed a stencil (made with my Cricut Machine-my new favorite toy!). See more about that here:
What you may not notice here and I didn't until AFTER I painted it, but I spelt my (married) last name wrong;) Yikes! I was able to fix it though! lol
I used Folk Art Black Chalk to complete it!
And here it is....Hope you like it!
