The address sign on my new house was looking a little outdated, so I decided to swap it for a DIY modern one. It only took me 1 hour to create and the front of my house looks much better (& much more my style!)

Here's a look at my front porch and my old address sign before. It was a little too traditional for my style and I was eager to modernize it.
For this project, you'll need spray paint, modern numbers, a piece of wood, picture hanging kit, a drill, and clear silicone.
First, I spray painted the floating numbers a nice brass color. They covered well in one coat, but I did another just to be safe. I wanted the brass to match the hardware on my front door, so you can leave them their silver color if you want.
I then spray painted the piece of wood a satin black. I gave it 2 coats to ensure an even coverage.
I followed the directions that came with the address numbers to attach them directly to the wood. The numbers I bought came with a template, so I knew where to drill holes for each number. I filled each hole with clear silicone to attach the numbers to the wood.
To attach it to the outside of my house, I installed a simple picture hanging kit on the back of the piece of wood.
The front of our house now looks much better and much more modern. It only took me about an hour to complete this easy DIY project, and I only spent about $20 in materials. A worthwhile DIY project if you ask me!
