A FREE CRAIGS LIST MANTLE TURNED HEADBOARD
After responding to a free Mantle om Craig's List I picked up this very humongess Fireplace mantle but surprisingly it fit perfect with a king size bed to become a pretty headboard. The mantle now headboard is solid wood and full of character.
This is the original state
I gave it a light coat of chalk board paint and let the brown show through a bit to give it a little touch of vintage;
Seeing that this bedroom is Red, white and blue I gave it a wee bit of red and blue shading
I crafted a shabby rag garland with an attached woosdsey star
I also did a little stenciling for fun Sweet Dreams
