This project was so fun! My neighbor picked this chair up for me at a yard sale for $5. I forgot to take a before picture😒
I sanded it all over them painted it with a red acrylic paint that I found at Walmart. It was discounted because it was miss matched.
I decided not to do a primer because the paint was a paint and primer. But it took three full coats.
I collected pretty colored paper most of which I bought at Michael's on sale. I also purchased a hexagon pattern. I cut out the pieces and layed them out to form the pattern
Then I used mod podge to secure them to the chair.
I used a black permanent marker and ruler to outline the squares.
After a top coat of mod podge was dried I applied two coats of polyurethane.
This is a close up of the pattern. My husband came home and loved the chair. It is just fun!
Enjoyed the project?
