Faux Tile and Metallic Style

The super talented Kara Paslay does it again! This space was created for a TV show airing this upcoming fall and we're so excited to give you a VIP sneak peak.
Kara's clients had a practical bath. It was like most of the bathrooms you'd see in our homes or a friend's home, neutral walls, large mirror, and a standard look. Kara's vision took this bathroom to a whole new level, with color, pattern and shimmer!
Kara added Rit Fabric Dye to add an ombre, ocean like color treatment to the wall. She then used our Modern Masters sheer Flash Blue Metallic Paint to add a gorgeous iridescent shine to the walls, further complimented with the scallop stencil from Royal Design Studio.
Here's the wall during the process. Isn't it looking incredibly gorgeous? As you can see, Kara's vision is coming to fruition - her goal was to create a fish scale tile look with a watery effect without installing a single piece of tile.
Here's the after shot of the bath with new decor in place. What a difference! Be sure to stop on by our Modern Masters Café blog to read the full article and see the complete transformation!

Beautiful. What was the surface to begin with and what did you add the Rit Fabric Dye to? Thanks. Shirley
