I just love Halloween and I also love to repurpose and upcycle. What better way to put the two of those things together than turn a candle holder into a etched ghost for Halloween?
I had this candle holder on hand and it was time to do something with it rather than just leave it sitting on a shelf.
I coated it in Martha Stewart Glass Etching Cream. Once coated, I let it sit for 15 minutes as per the bottle's instructions.
After the 15 minutes was up, I rinsed all of the Martha Stewart Etching Cream off the candle holder. I wiped it off with a cloth and let it dry completely.
Once it was dry I used Folk Art Acrylic Paint in black to pain on some eyes for my ghost. You could paint on a mouth if you like as well.
Once the paint was dry my little ghost was ready.
You can add a battery operated tealight to the ghost if you like for added glow.
