How do I paint or decorate this fireplace screen?
I bought this wooden screen cheap and painted it white (it had 80s or 90s style country houses on it ). I want to use it just for Christmas in front of a fireplace that doesn’t work. I am not artistic but I attempted to draw windows and doors on here just as a test over primer. I need ideas for how to make it look Christmassy.

Here use "the Painted Ladies" of San Francisco as a color pallette guide for the house colors and detail. Then paint in garlands and wreaths where they would be placed on any home.

If you want I can pull up photos of Department 56 villages so popular at Christmas.
Add mini lights across the top. Paint the houses and roofs and chimneys.
Draw on wreaths and garland to doorways , windows. Could also add colored lights around roof tops and snow. Your drawings look great. Get a little cut out of Santa and have him coming out of a chimney. May find one the right size from old Christmas card or magazine. Could also show christmas trees thru windows. Have fun.
This is such a cool find! I love your idea and your drawings so far. Personally, I wouldn't have the patience or steady hand to add details like that, so kudos to you! If you don't want to spend the time filling everything in, maybe you could paint the whole thing white and then just paint the roofs and chimneys black? Then use some LED fairy lights to make it look extra magical?
Your drawings look great! If you want to fill in any of the details with color, you can you use paint pens or sharpie markers.
If don’t want to paint any more, then maybe you can find some small wreath ornaments and hang them on the homes, that will give them some dimension. I agree with the idea of fairy lights strung on the top, that would be festive too.
And, instead of doing more to the homes themselves, how about adding some bottle brush trees to sit in front of the houses? Target has some cute inexpensive ones right now. Then there’s the vintage cars with the trees on top that are trendy too. You can decorate around and in front of the screen to make a whole Christmas vignette.
