How can we add lighting to our mobile home Kitchen?
We need overhead lighting in our kitchen. We have tried extra plug in lights and under counter lights but need something brighter. We have them attached to the sides of the cabinets and doors. We would like it to look custom but have thought about running a cord through the cabinets over the stove then covering the wiring out to where the light needs to be. Also, the ceilings are not high enough for a chandelier or other type dangling light.

Hire an electrician, preferably with mobile home knowledge to install recessed or "can" lights for you. Here is how to hire a contractor.

Hi Janet,
Maybe fix up a battery lamp or Flashlight of some kind. Otherwise call in an electrician and see what he has to say............
Hi Janet. For great lighting in small spaces maybe strip led lights would work. My son just did this in his rental home. It’s awesome.
I hope this idea has lit up some creativity in you!
Hi Janet! There are some great ideas out there on lighting for your kitchen. We put up a lamp from the ceiling above the sink that is extended from a silvertone pole and you can make it as long or short as you want it. The lamp is similar to a large headlight on a car only very classy looking. It gives out tons of light. We got it at Home Depot. I hope you find just what you are looking for! Merry Christmas to you!
